Tocopherol
Tocopherol is the scientific name for vitamin E. It is a super-antioxidant soluble in oil, which protects the fat present in your cosmetic products against oxidation. Oxidation is a degradation reaction that takes place in the presence of oxygen, and therefore in contact with air. In concrete terms, this means that after the first opening, your product begins to oxidize irreparably, until it becomes rancid (like butter). The role of tocopherol (vitamin E) is to delay this process as much as possible so that you can use your product for as long as possible! It is a kind of preservative, 100% natural, and it is good for your skin. :)
