Sodium laureth sulfate

Sodium Laureth Sulfate, or SLES, is a derivative of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), a surfactant, foaming agent, and cleanser, widely used in cosmetics. The reaction which allows passing from SLS to SLES is polluting, that's why the latter is forbidden in organic products. On the other hand, SLES is much more gentle and respectful of the skin, so it is much less irritating. This is why we have chosen to use it in our shaving cream.
