Crithmum maritimum is a small zig-zag-shaped plant that can reach from 20 to 30 centimeters in height. Its leaves have a flavor close to the fennel, which is why it is also called "sea fennel". It is often found on the seaside rocks, where the waves come to the ground. The essential compounds derived from sea fennel are known for their firming and toning properties on the skin. It is also a plant rich in vitamins C and E, two very powerful antioxidants.
