Shikakai Powder

A renowned ingredient in traditional Indian medicine, shikakai powder is obtained from a plant found in the hot and dry plains of central India, and which you are surely familiar with: Acacia concinna. It is thanks to the small fruits growing on this plant that shikakai powder is obtained. Indeed, after being harvested when ripe, the fruits are dried and finely crushed, transforming the small berries into a magnificent brown powder with a slightly woody scent. Shikakai powder is widely recognized for the many effects it has on hair. This powder is, first of all, a natural surfactant, which will give shampoos a natural foaming effect. In addition, its conditioning properties restore strength and shine to hair, leaving it supple, soft and easy to comb.
