Peut-on laver sa barbe avec un shampoing pour cheveux ?

Ce n'est pas idéal, mais c'est infiniment mieux que le gel douche, qui est le vrai responsable des démangeaisons. La peau sous la barbe est celle du visage, plus fine que le cuir chevelu : elle réclame une formule douce, sans sulfates ni silicones.

À quelle fréquence faut-il laver sa barbe ?

Deux à trois fois par semaine suffisent pour la plupart des barbes. Entre deux lavages, un rinçage à l'eau claire fait le travail. Un lavage quotidien retire le film protecteur plus vite qu'il ne se reconstitue, et c'est souvent lui qui déclenche les tiraillements.

Pourquoi un shampoing spécial barbe ?

Parce que le poil de barbe est plus dur et plus sec que le cheveu, et que la peau dessous est celle du visage. Une formule pensée pour les deux nettoie sans décaper et laisse le poil souple, là où un produit trop détergent le rend cassant et rêche.

Peut-on l'utiliser aussi sur les cheveux ?

Oui, c'est précisément ce que veut dire deux-en-un. Un seul flacon pour la barbe et les cheveux, ce qui évite d'accumuler les produits dans la douche. Sur cheveux longs, complétez par un soin sur les pointes, qui sont toujours les plus sèches.

Comment l'appliquer sur la barbe ?

Massez une noix de shampoing jusqu'à obtenir une mousse dense, en insistant sur la peau et pas seulement sur le poil. Laissez poser une minute avant de rincer, c'est ce temps de pause qui change le résultat. Rincez abondamment, un reste de produit démange.

Que faire si ma barbe gratte malgré tout ?

Espacez les lavages, terminez le rinçage à l'eau tiède plutôt que chaude, et ajoutez une huile ou un baume sur peau encore humide. Si la gêne persiste au-delà de quelques semaines, c'est un sujet pour un professionnel de santé, pas pour un cosmétique.
